To be selected for the Immigration pathway, the applicant should meet the eligibility requirements. The eligibility of the candidate will depend on the Program through which the candidate is applying. Every program has its eligibility norms.
Let us look at some of the eligibility requirements below:
➡ Express Entry Program – The Express Entry program is a federal system of selection, and it accesses the candidate as per the point-based evaluation. The Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score tool calculates the credentials of applicants on the factors of age, language expertise, education, work experience, and adaptability. Those who secure the minimum points required by the IRCC are selected for immigration through Canada Express Entry. The score is announced through regular Express Entry Draws
➡ Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) – Based on occupation in demand, every province nominates eligible candidates for immigration. The provinces have their own requirements and parameters, which, when met, the shortlisting of the applicants happen. Some provinces have easy immigration policies and ask for Low IELTS score for selection.
➡ Quebec Skilled Workers Program (QSWP) – The region of Quebec has its eligibility criteria, which need to be met by the candidate for qualification for the PR status. For the selection of the candidates, the Quebec region places huge importance on French language knowledge. For the selection of the nomination in Quebec Skilled Workers Program, the candidate should get approval in two stages – First, the approval needs to be sought from the Quebec government in which the province of Quebec provides the candidates with the certificate of selection and secondly, the approval needs to be sought from the federal government for selection.
